June 15 – 26 & July 13 – 24, 2009
Camp is underway and registration is closed. Watch our Web site for news about next summer’s camp!
Conveniently located at our theatre in central Alameda, the Altarena Playhouse Summer Theatre Camp offers children of all skill levels the opportunity to study acting, monologues, improvisation, movement, and commercial technique. Students participate in classes, theatre games, and rehearsals designed to strengthen skills and self-confidence in a supportive, creative environment. Each session culminates in a family-friendly production showcasing the students’ work. Professional instructor Richard Robert Bunker will encourage students to explore their creative ideas through a wide range of curriculum, helping them to become well-rounded performers. This is not an ordinary camp experience; it is designed to give your student a greater knowledge of the theater arts experience. The camp is open to all ability levels and will be a great addition any student’s summer vacation.
Each two-week session meets Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 3:00 PM. Tuition is $475 per session. The final performance for family and friends will take place on the last day of each session at 2:00 pm at The Altarena. To enroll, please fill out this enrollment form and mail it to us along with your tuition payment.
