The Altarena Playhouse is located at 1409 High Street (between Central Ave. and Santa Clara Ave.) in Alameda, California.
By car: Take I-880 to the High Street exit west (toward Alameda). Proceed across the High Street Bridge. Continue on High Street about 1/2 mile. You’ll see our green awning on the right side of the street. Get detailed directions from Google Maps.
Street Parking is available around the theater. Please allow a few minutes to get from your car to the theater.
Public transit: Take BART to Fruitvale station, then AC Transit bus 63 to corner of High St. and Santa Clara Ave.
