About the show:

The singing sisters are back in this holiday sequel to “The Taffetas” set in Muncie, Indiana. This time the Dumont Television Network is featuring Kaye, Donna, Peggy and Cheryl on its weekly television show, “Hometown Hoedown.” It’s Christmas in Muncie, and everyone is there! It’s America’s first chance to meet ‘Mother and Daddy,’ and a few surprises for everyone. A bright combination of hits from “The Taffetas,” plus new songs and Christmas favorites, The Taffetas Christmas is a classic hometown Christmas the way it was meant to be.

Character breakdown (all roles are available):

Kaye is the level headed one of “The Taffetas”. She is very maternal and is the group’s business-minded leader. She likes to write and record all of her experiences in her diary and hopes to publish it under the title “My Life In Taffeta”.

Peggy is the most studious and spends her free time studying short hand. Her favorite past times are learning to cook all of her mother’s favorite recipes and painting by numbers. She will probably leave the group to become a secretary.

Cheryl has man trouble. She is crazy about Johnny, who has dumped her. Her favorite pastime is improving her Canasta game and her spare time is spent performing her duties as president of the Mario Lanza fan club.

Donna is looking for a guy with a Chevrolet convertible. She loves to collect film star photos and…best of all…riding in the front seat of her Daddy’s dreamy two-tone Chevy Bellair convertible, with the top down of course.

Auditions are by appointment only. Please email taffetas@altarena.org to schedule an audition. No phone calls, please.
