Pal Joey

Pal Joey

ABOUT THE PLAY

Anti-hero Joey Evans is a charming and manipulative Chicago nightclub singer with grand ambitions. He’s willing to use others to achieve those ambitions, including naive admirer Linda and wealthy seductress Vera. Far ahead of its time for its frank depiction of characters and social themes, Pal Joey will keep you guessing who is using whom. The memorable Rodgers & Hart score includes the standards “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered” and “I Could Write a Book.”
